First off, the Prime Minister didn't suspend Parliament, he Prorogued it which is well within his Constitutional right, to Prorogue Parliament is to close & session &
set a date for a new Parliamentary session to begin with a budget.
Second, what he did, he did with the permission of the Governor General.
Something similar happened in the 1920's when the then Governor General denied a request for an election & gave power to the other parties.
The Electorate was so mad that the next election they threw everyone out on thier ear except the ruling party & restored the Prime Minister to power with a Majority Government.
Technically, what the three parties are doing is allowed under the Constitution
but in the court of public opinion, people are mad because it appears this is only happening because they Hate Prime Minister Steven Harper & want power themselves without getting a mandate from the people.
The coalition Government wants to spend 30 Billion immediately with no plan in place & our current Prime Minister adopts a wait & see because our economy isn't doing as bad as other economy save for the Auto & Forest sectors.
The Forest sectors market has dried up! No One is buying our wood.
The Auto industry is appearing before Congress so until they decide what & how much to give to the Big 3 our Government is waiting-cheque book in hand!
No Keith, public opinion is behind the Prime Minister on this one & what he did was get a breather for cooler heads to prevail.
Nobody wants a Pizza Parliament!
Oh, and people are "incensed" that this new coalition is supported & propped up by the Separatist party whose sole purpose in life is to take Quebec out of Canada!!!!
