All my mom's brothers served in the military, and I have a great-uncle who is a Vietnam veteran, and they know my thoughts and they respect them because I'm not some "anti-American" nut, I'm just a Amish-Menno Pentecostal who is into nonviolence and a nonresistant lifestyle (for the CHRISTIAN)- the heathens can go and fight, but my battle is on my knees, not with swords or chariots and not with flesh and blood.
Plus, I'm in another nation- the Swiss don't fight in the Spanish army, and the Christian doesn't fight in the army of any earthly nation!
The loss of your freedom will start somewhere. Don't ever get to the place that you don't care what the world is doing with your freedoms.

GOD's not interested in America, HE's interested in HIS Holy Nation! Prayer in schools is a form of godliness without any power... I went to a Catholic school, we prayed and GOD never moved. Maybe Baptists can pray a bit better, but apostolics are in the minority and we DO NOT want religion in the public sphere or else we are outnumbered and the religion will be some false Christian/trinitarianism. Why can't we just worship the LORD with our lives, and not put HIM in a box and let HIM spill over into things. When I was in grammar school (public), I always kept a Bible in my locker, I prayed, I witnessed (sure I was just a wee trinitarian Charismatic/AOGer, but I did the best I could). I didn't need a formalized prayer in my classes- I loved the LORD and it shew forth! Putting GOD in the public sphere is unnecessary because then we are forcing HIM upon those who... believe it or not... do have the right to be atheists and not bothered by the government (that doesn't mean I won't witness to them, but Ceasar shouldn't bother them for their atheism).
I believe that God cares about America as long as America follows Godly precepts, of which she doesn't. Judgment is coming to this nation! You cannot do what she has done without God judging! God is not mocked....ETC.
My prayer for the young is that they find wisdom without having to suffer the taskmaster of experience.
And Alex, your liberty to come on AFF and say what ever you like was secured by those of us who stood in that gap and served in the military. By those of us who marched off to war to do what ever it took to secure your freedom.
You get to bluster about what ever nation you belong to by the service and sacrifice of others. Son you need to remember that. more than a million men have died for your right to serve your god as you see fit. Millions more have suffered both physically and mentally in war so you can stand up and bluster about rendering to Caesar but not being part of "America"

I don't think God cares anymore about America than he does Finland or Kazakhstan. As a US American I tend to care more about the US than I do Canada (sorry Canadian's... I still like you!) but as a Christian, God cares about people.
If a nation is judged by God, it is because the people are corrupt and evil. As long as there are enough "Lots" in the USA... the sodomites, God-haters and baby murderers get a pass (at least where this life is concerned). When we go away... they are up the creek with no paddle, no boat and no creek.
The unregenerate soul is going to gravitate towards evil. In reality, "In God we Trust" doesn't really mean much. Every German soldier, including the SS, had "Gott Mitt Uns" (God with us) on their belt buckle. But it is a remnder that there is a God.
All the things that have been taken away though... Prayer in School, even dead empty ones left a reminder of the acknowledgment of the creator in the heart of a kid. The ten commandments in the courthouse, even though disobeyed by most, from the judge to the defendant, were a visible reminder that we are all subject to God's law.
The more reference to God is removed, the more evil people feel at liberty to do the wild thing. Whenever a Christmas display showing the savior is put up now, the antichrist spirit is demanding, and receiving equal billing.
