Re: Christmas Plans
Not working.
No real plans. We'll probably do family stuff just cuz we'll all be home at the same time for 36 hours straight.

I was going to my dad's for Christmas, but found out last week they are going to his wife's daughter's in Houston.
I have a few options - just not sure what I will be doing though. Trying to be a big girl about it, but.....................

This makes me sad Renda, I feel for you. It is different when you are single and your kids are grown, there are definitely times when you feel like you don't have a spot. I know when my daughter gets married it will become more complicated. But I am sure that you have great friends in the area who will fill in the gap!!

Don't be sad......I'll figure it out -- just a new phase I'm dealing with.

Re: Christmas Plans
Here's my question to folks that celebrate and buy xmas gifts... Why don't you just stop giving gifts on xmas, and then on the 26th, 27th or sometime before January 1st, take advantage of most stuff being half off, and then give those gifts on January 1st as "New Years Gifts"? I convinced my Methodist aunt to do it, and she thought it was one of the few good ideas I've ever had ... I know, I know, I'm just a cheap, penny-pinching Jew...
