You have to dredge them in flour so the broth will thicken. It won't thicken just by putting the tortillas in the broth. You don't use a lot of flour, just enough to dust the tortillas. Try it! It's easy!
My son was wanting me to make him some yesterday, but I forgot to by a whole chicken when I shopped the other day. I think I'll run to the store in a little while and do that. I have to wake up first and then get dressed. Not happening any time soon.
