It's my IMPRESSION that the death penalty has been issued and carried out for crimes less heinous than what this appears to be.
Maybe I'm missing something, but when they say they found that little girl's skull, does that mean it was separated from the rest of her tiny body?
Skull here, femur over here type situation?

I don't think we will find out til later whether or not she had been there all this time, or recently moved there from somewhere else.

Re: I am disgusted!
Would the man Christ Jesus execute a murderer? I like David K. Bernard's take on the subject. The New Testament calls us to a higher standard of love and humanity than the Law. I therefore firmly stand against the death penalty. Not only for religious reasons, but also for social reasons. The government isn't always capable of adequately determining justice in EVERY account. Surely we have executed a small number of innocent people who were wrongfully convicted. To support a system that could execute a single innocent or wrongfully convicted person is something that I find difficult. For the sake of that one innocent person, I stand against the death penalty.
Does this mean that justice isn't served when a murderer isn't executed? Only if you believe that justice is restricted to this world. I believe that God Almighty is the final and true arbitrator of justice. I support incarceration for life and leave justice to God.
Just my thoughts.

What really made me so sad was the fact that this child's grandparents appear to have covered for the murderer of the granddaughter. That murderer being their daughter.
It just makes for a very sad and heavy situation.
I'm really bothered by this incident and the apparent lack of justice that is likely to occur, especially if the grandparents get "legal immunity".

Re: I am disgusted!
Jesus may not but I do not think he would have stopped the law from being executed justly. He would have tried to make sure the person being put to death for their crime was ready to meet him on the other side though.

I am not going to argue for or against the death penalty.

I am not against the concept of a death penalty. I just realize that it has not been justly carried in this country.
The Bible is clear in stating there is a time to kill.
I'm saying that if there was a time where the death penalty is appropriate, it is appearing to me that this case would also be appropriate.
Am I the only one that has the impression that this little girl was actually dismembered?
