I haven't read the posts here, but I participated in the poll. I sort of didn't like checking off "Former UPC" because I felt I was in the "backslider" category by default (although, some of my former UPC brethren think I'm backslidden, but whatever, I guess). Perhaps a "Former UPC/ No longer apostolic" and a "Former UPC/Still apostolic" would work well if a poll was ever done like this again, maybe a year or two from now. But it was still a good poll, it was cool to see the other demographics.

I know people here in our area who seriously think that it is.

Well, being Pentecostal is not, of course, only a Southern thing. But you will find pastors from the south in other parts of the country. Many years ago, revival came to the south and it experienced much growth......especially Louisiana.

Many of the southern ministers carried the gospel to other parts of the USA.

This is true. There are many home missions pastors from Louisiana spread throughout the USA. I have a lot of respect for them, coming from much fellowship to almost none, and freezing cold weather in some areas.

hehehe. I'm not finding fault with what you said. I was just trying to figure what exactly you were saying. Maybe it's my old brain....... I knew that somewhere in all those words you had something good to say. I just couldn't sort it out. Maybe I'll go back and read thru it a few more times to see if I can make the pieces fall in place in this old brain next time.
