So true and so powerful. The tongue can cause so much damage. Cursing and blessing from the same mouth. It ought not so to be. May the Lord bless our tongues so that when they "protrude" life comes from them and not death!

My pastor often says this is one of his favorite scriptures.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure , whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Indeed. I try more and more to make it a part of my morning devotional. Seems to help throughout the day.
