9. Pente-Baptist Church Shawnee Baptist.
10. Oneness-UPCI (20 years old 1976) in Haltom City, Texas under D.L. Spurgeon
11. Independent Oneness in Hobbs, NM 1980 for 6 months (Sister Spencer).
12. UPCI in La Habra, Ca 1981 under B. Rex Spraggins (Ex Marine).
13. Attended PAW and 2 UPCI churches in San Francisco, Ca Under Marlin Gazowski, and Brother Hubbard (1985 (School)).
14. Back to La Habra, Ca 1986 till 1988
15. Left the Organized churches to find my calling in 1988 and attended a Sabbath keeping Oneness church while having church in the home, teaching home bible studies and holding prayer meetings.
16. ALJC Church in Jeffersonville, IN December 1996 till 1997
17. Back to Hobbs 1997 - 1998 (Mother was dying) attended a Spanish Apostolic till...
18. Started teaching in home Bible Studies till....
19. Moved back to Jeffersonville, IN till that church split in 1999 because of sin in the pulpit.
20. Two years not attending an organized church and visiting various ones.
21. God sent me to Greater Faith Apostolic Church on the day Pastor Nichol preached his 1st message as their New Pastor.

NOTE: it was at this church 1 year earlier God used me to tell this church he was changing the leadership (pastor) in this church but the church would not lose one man or family of the leadership because they had been taught well.

You try standing up in a church you are visiting and deliver that message.

The pastor resigned later because the men confronted him with sexual misconduct with a woman in that church.

I have been here since 2002, till God tells me to leave, I will remain.

I have tried to keep the dates as accurate as I can.

There, is that enough history for you?

I will leave the visiting other Churches and the antics I saw there for another thread.

I sort of didn't like checking off "Former UPC" because I felt I was in the "backslider" category by default (although, some of my former UPC brethren think I'm backslidden, but whatever, I guess). Perhaps a "Former UPC/ No longer apostolic" and a "Former UPC/Still apostolic" would work well if a poll was ever done like this again, maybe a year or two from now. But it was still a good poll, it was cool to see the other demographics.

Quite an interesting background. As I've read, most that have come out of Mormonism usually have a temporary or permanent stage of atheism. It's usually pretty wild. Maybe yours happened while you were very young and that helped.

Not what I said or think, but what someone told me. At least we know it's a pretty good balance of ex-UPC versus current UPC. A better poll could really hone down the demographic more.

The forum is about split into two with UPCI and former UPCI (presumably most former UPCIer's taking the "liberation" road, not the AMF, WPF road).

I agree. But this also explains why finding agreement on here can be difficult. We aren't talking small degrees here. In many cases, there are even fundamental differences that create a disconnect. We have yellow shades and blue shades each vying for their own color, but really, we are creating a green shade

I say this thoughtfully. Does "iron sharpening iron" apply to those who don't even share in common a belief of the most fundamental things concerning Scripture? Does that truly make us better? Curious...
