This cowboy I married had a way of settling me down. He is so sweet. When I decorated my tree, he said, "I'm married to such an elegant woman."

That makes up for it all!!

I did throw away his western shirts with the snaps for buttons AND his cowboy hats. He was mad for a while, but I did get to change some things.
LOL

When my lovely bride and I got married she was going to fix me up. She threw away my blue jeans (and my $100 pair of Red Wing work boots) and she went out and bought me Dockers & Duck Heads (It's been a while ago now).

One day she came out of the house and I was under the car changing the starter in my Duck Heads... She freaked out... WHAT ARE YOU DOING WORKING ON THE CAR IN THOSE PANTS.... I stuck my head out from under the car and said... "Well dear... you threw my blue jeans away".

She just kinda smiled and said "Yeah I did... didn't I"

LOL... We have had MANY laughs over that.

I have learned to not do too much counseling to an "Un-manned" woman.

I still have to stay on him about things.

We went Christmas shopping this past Friday. He was going to take me out to eat at Olive Garden.

I said, "No, don't wear that shirt. Wear the blue one."

He - "I don't like that shirt."

Me - "Wear it anyway. You look very handsome in that shirt."

He wears it. As we are walking into Olive Garden - I happened to look down and he is wearing - TENNIS SHOES!!! I could have strangled him. I didn't look to see what he put on his feet before we left the house.

Lord! Men!!!

Well, you have a point and it doesn't do any good anyway. Gotta ride that wave until the most "unlikely" grabs you by the hair, er, I mean heart!

Forget it!!

This is so funny. When my father passed away (okay, that's not the funny part) - now he was a rancher mind you and all of his friends are ranchers/cowboys - my husband is standing there and I see some of the men looking down at his feet.

I look down and I'm like - "Why in the world didn't he wear his Tony Lamas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Of all places to wear Tennis shoes!!!!

Later, I said, "Good Lord, why didn't you wear your boots? Do I have to dress you every day of your life?!!!! You can't come around my family not wearing your boots!!!
