Margie, that's wonderful.
I didn't get to do much Christmas shopping because of work and taking care of my adopted mom's business from her being in the hospital for almost two weeks and stuff. But my kids are used to not having Christmas on the actual day anyway.
All I got for my son was a MP3 player, which he's never had before. He preferred CD players instead, but he's loving this!
My daughter got fuzzy socks, a couple pairs of capris, and a camo watch.
I got Jelly Bellys and a cow figurine. My daughter hasn't shopped for me yet, cause I forgot to give her the money I owed her the other day when my sister came to get them. She wouldn't go, even though my sister would have paid it for her.
We are shopping on Saturday. I didn't even wrap what I'd already bought, so I said let's go and I'll buy whatever you want. I know my daughter wants the Twilight series books for her library. Son will take whatever I buy him!
I'm getting up early, as Kohl's opens at 6 and I don't have to be at work until 7. Lucky for me, the store is only ten minutes from work, so I can get a lot of shopping done!
My kids always get a big gift. This year, I left it up to my brother, who probably won't come through.
My daughter wants a laptop but doesn't dare ask cause she knows that hell will freeze over before that happens. Well, Satan happens to be ice skating this year, and Becca is going to be very surprised!
Zak wants a X-Box 360 with the Halo series game. It's very expensive, so I will wait til after the holidays and get it for him a little late if my brother doesn't get it for him. He'll be shocked as well, cause I told him hell would freeze first....LOL!
This is the first year they didn't have stockings though. I always fill their stockings with things like toiletries and trial size things they enjoy, along with a few scratch off tickets, just for fun. They didn't care, but I did. I might have to fill them later...LOL!
But I got the best gift last night. I can't go into detail, but it's given me a new lease on life that I never thought I'd have.
I'm the happiest person in the world.
