Some folks don't really care what his skin color is, they think right is right and wrong is wrong. If he is legal, good for him, if not then he does not have the right to be president any more than the California governor, who is white.

It really makes no difference where he was born as long as his mother was a US citizen. The status of natural born citizenship is attained in two ways.

1. Anyone born on US soil is a natural born citizen.

2. If one of your parents is a US citizen you are also considered a natural born citizen. Case in point Sis Alvear's son, Raul Jr., told me that he is a US citizen because of his mother's citizenship although he was born in Brazil.

So unless it could be shown that Obama's mama's (sorry I couldn't resist) citizenship had been revoked or renounced prior to his birth he would still be considered a natural born US citizen.

Ironically the same accusations have been made against John McCain in the past since he was born in Panama when his father was stationed there.

For the record I am not an Obama supporter by any stretch of the imagination and fear greatly for our future, particularly our religious freedoms, but this citizenship issue is going nowhere!!

I think something has to be mentioned. People who are wanting to see something brought out that will topple an Obama Presidency are showing a very short sighted and selfish brand of partisan politics. Think of the social and political ramifications on our country. I think it could cause such unrest and division in our country it would set us back into the 1970's. At this point, even if it could be proven that Obama wasn't an American citizen it would be very bad for America to topple him. (Of course, all of these accusations are absolutely false.) It would also create another Constitutional crisis and divide our country perhaps greater than at any point in our history.

I believe that our nation will do far better with enduring a bad Obama Presidency than it would enduring the toppling of a Presidential Administration. It could cause serious riots or unrest.

We need to embrace what will be best for our country, not our political party.

I am NOT an Obama supporter. On January 20th, he will be my president and I will respect him for the office that he holds and will pray for him as the Bible commands.

NOW, I would absolutely LOVE for this to be true. However, I am more inclined to believe something like this if it was being covered, right now, on the major networks. FoxNews does not even have this on their radar...and they, if not Hannity, would have exposed this today if this was the case. I have never heard of the website referenced and am going to say this is probably a made up story with little ground.

I will echo the statements from a couple other posters and say where there is smoke, there is fire. There have been accusations about the legitimacy of his birthplace and no "solid" piece has come forth. At this point, I would like everything to be legitimate going into his presidency....

It really matters not whether there are riots. What is best for our country is always adherence to the constitution. If Obama were NOT qualified he would obviously need to step down, there would be no second option.

While I think it strange that he does not choose transparency on the matter, I doubt there is anything to this. IF it were true any and all of us would be traitors to call for anything other than his removal.

I’m not so sure about the idea that where there is smoke there is fire deal. Anyone who’s ever been falsely accused of something and had to prove their innocence knows that a lot of smoke can be generated by an accusation when in fact there isn’t a fire. This is especially true in politics.

I wouldn’t go that far personally. The Constitution would go completely out the window if our nation was wracked with social unrest and bloodthirsty political division. The way I see it is like this, we swear him in no matter what. He becomes our President. The majority of Americans have spoken, and obviously believe in his legitimacy. We cannot cancel their vote. If there proves to be serious evidence that he isn’t an American citizen, we bring this up toward the end of his first term to disqualify him from running a second term; or if he’s a fantastic President we tolerate a second term. However, after the Obama Presidency, we make more stringent requirements and transparency to demonstrate citizenship for Presidential candidates; and Obama goes down in history as the first non-citizen to serve as President of the United States. Chalk it up as a legal blunder. One for the history books and documentary films.

I would much rather endure an accidental President and prevent it from happening again than see the social and political upheaval toppling Obama could have. That’s just my philosophy. I think many of those wanting to see Obama toppled right now are putting their political party loyalties ahead of the nation’s better good.

But for the record, I don’t believe there’s anything to these accusations.
