Actor John Travolta's son dies in Bahamas

The teenage son of actor John Travolta died suddenly on Friday during a family vacation in the Bahamas, according to the family's lawyer.

Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, attorney Michael Ossi said.

Attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene, Ossi said.

Jett, who had a history of seizures, was the eldest child of Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000.

What a horrible experience at anytime but especially for the Christmas holidays.

I know he was close to his mother and I don't think he has many family members.

Yes it is. I understand for a parent this is one of the hardest things to ever go through.

I have family members that if they died today would face a judge, not a savior. It breaks my heart, but the Word is still the Word.

Forgive my seemingly hard-heartedness, but don't misunderstand my intent. I want to reach the whole world, but I cannot excuse indifference to the Word.

And this is one of the hardest things to face for new converts, in order to accept the truth, they have to accept that there are loved ones who are not only lost but those who have past on and were lost. I have seen some reject the truth because they did not want to accept that simple fact.
