Re: Pajamas --for home only?

It is only wrong if you wear your jammies with pink sponge curlers in your hair!

I think I should be able to wear my Bart Simpson slippers to Foot washing service... Don't you?

I would suppose you are ok with doing what ever you please, say going 75 mph in a school zone when the speed limit is 30 mph. The local government says you're wrong. It's not a heaven or hell issue. It's the law.
Wearing PJ's out in the public is a common sense issue. Yet some folks have no common sense. True, Maybe they have not been taught. But someone needs to start caring and try to reach them.

Sir,

There is a difference between laws in terms of public order and laws of spirituality. (with some crossover).

Laws regarding speed limit, have to do with safety of the driver, other motorists, and pedestrians.

I don't see how wearing PJ's cause harm to anyone.

When it comes to matters of public safety, obviously there must be laws to keep order.

When it comes to matters of spirituality, I believe it is best left between the individual and the Lord. Because I do believe that when one starts making laws to legislate anothers relationship with God that they ARE edging out the Holy Ghost.

But, Yes. We should care if people are running around in their PJ's. There is a time and place for everything.
Listen, if you are sick and come into the hospital with your PJ's on am I going to get upset. NO. If you house is on fire and your wife and children run out in the street with their PJ's on am I going to get upset and preach you into hell. NO. If I see you up town in a store dressed in your PJ's am I going to wonder about you. YES. Where do WE as AMERICANS draw the line. Bottom line. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Do you wish to contiune this talk?
I actually don't wish to continue this talk, because I see that you and I are on very separate wavelengths here.

I have way to many other important things in my life to worry about whether my neighbor runs to the supermarket in his or her pajamas.

Take a stand, but choose your battle wisely. In my humble opinion, adopting a stance against pajamas in public is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

But, hey, it's your war - I wish you the best.
