Re: Changing Denominations
My experience with the church is that most of the time people say to get over stuff and they either have shoved their own issues up under the rug or have never dealt with anything too big. Once in a great while you run into somebody who actually has dealt with things and has some real advice.

Re: Changing Denominations
But the truth is that the Bible gives us no other option but to forgive and "get over stuff."
The message is Scriptural, regardless of your distaste for the messenger.

Yes it is the ultimate factor in spiritual health, mental healthy and in reality physical health. The ability to let it go through forgiveness.

Actually they started with one serpent! And a male more than likely.

Re: Changing Denominations
I realize that forgiveness is often a process that takes time. Only God knows what the space of grace is, exactly.
But there comes a point, finally, if a person refuses to let go and exercise the will to forgive, that they must start justifying themselves and their bitterness.
At that point, there has to be self-deception in order to silence the convicting voice of grace.
That is when the seeds of iniquity begin to be sown in the soul.
As Peter said to Simon--the gall of bitterness and the bond of iniquity.
Bitterness becomes the seed bed of iniquity if it is not eradicated.
