Craigslist

I used Craigslist for the first time yesterday & I was pleasantly surprised.
Seeing the nature of some of the adds there I was a little apprehensive about the types of people I might run into.

I was looking for a good used Fax Machine & I got a few responses from really nice people.

I need a fax machine to fax my resume around to different employers.

How has your experience been with Craigslist?

Awesome. I love craigslist. I *am* cautious, but I've never had problems at all. I've sold, bought, given away, and picked up free items, found jobs and childcare (yes, even childcare...from strangers! lol) The one thing I haven't posted yet is for a roommate...I probably need to just get over that hesitation and do it cuz I sure haven't found one any other way yet.

Did you happen to see any chickens?

I guess it is similar to the old Buy & Sell Newspaper I would buy from time to time.

It had everything in it.

Re: Craigslist

Craigslist is great.

Most every day I check....

Farm+garden
Tools
Material
General

And about 1/2 the time I check cars+trucks and every great once in a while I check boats.

I have bought a tiller & firewood off of Craigslist.

I am going this weekend to look at some goats that were listed on Craigslist.

Apparently my husband thinks we need more.

I wish we had no chickens and no goats.

I think one of our goats might be pregnant. We have 2 nannies and 1 billy.

Re: Craigslist

Craigslist has kept me employed on evenings and weekends since August ... through their gigs pages.

In addition to working my full-time job ...

In preparation for the honeymoon and wedding-related expenses ... I've done work for various promotional marketing companies for nationally recognized companies as a promo rep/brand ambassador and/or doing setup/teardown.

Usually it involves setting up/breaking down for an event and giving away promotional materials (hats, backpacks, gloves, T-shirts, gift cards, you name it.) while generating leads. Events are usually at sporting events, fairs, tradeshows, etc.

Pay is decent ... averaging 15-20 dollars an hour.

Companies I've done work for include: Quaker State, Dale and Thomas, Sinupret, GE, Chevron, Pepsico, Unilever, Toyota, State Farm, Cartoon Network, Playstation, Phillps Sonicare, Volkswagen, Shecky's, and others.

Last night I set up a gig for Playstation at a local mall ... worked 9 pm to 1:30 am.
SLEEPY!!! Will go back to tear down on Sunday evening.

Most of this extra income and loads of free stuff is a direct result of CRAIGSLIST!!!!
