Re: Repent or perish!
I want to thank those of you who are praying and those who have responded with a word of encouragment. (sp)
Today as I was driving to work the scripture kept going through my thoughts:
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness...
AND this thought flooded my mind:
When He cleanses us from unrighteousness, the unrighteous nature and desires leave us (or they should).
I am not going to settle for a thorn-in-the-flesh. Not with this isue.
Again, thanks to those of you who have responded.

I went to an Apostolic church that practiced confession of all sins to the Pastor for repentance and restoration, as a salvation issue....I don't know how other people on here feel about that.....
I wasn't so much worried about being forgivin for sins before I was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the HG. But, I don't think I had the most clear vision on repentance.......Anyways, It didn't take me long in that church to feel completely damned........I eventually left and haven't been to a church since....

shawn, i've never heard of such a thing, but certainly encourage your to find (another) church!

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.

His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

Gateway College used to sing this back in the early 70's. I haven't thought of these words in ages, but I loved it!
