I'm not sure I could agree. Verbal and written conversation, IMO, can be very emotional and I believe you could become very attached to a person that way. I think if your mind, heart and emotions are tied up with that person, it's plain and simple adultery. I don't think you have to engage in a physical relationship to be deemed as committing adultery.

I believe if your heart is turned away from your spouse and you are engaging with another person, say via the Internet, it's adultery. Again, that is my opinion. If my husband was doing that, I would consider that adultery.
