In my opinion, marriage in general is none of the government's business. Historically speaking, marriage was a private contract between two private individuals. Marriage licenses were only issued to try to prevent whites from marrying blacks. As far as I'm concerned marriage should return to being a private contract between two individuals and their faith community. It's none of the government's business who you or I marry. The Government should get out of the marriage business.
