Shea Butter is excellent and I highly recommend it. It has many valuable properties to it not just for cracked hands. Some of the mentioned in this thread is petroleum based products which is not good for you. Also watch out which form of Vit E you get. The synthetic form is poor at best.

I fill three humidifiers regularly. I can't wait until it warms up!! I used to get nse bleeds though and so far, none this season.

Yes... they help with nose bleeds also...
