For those who've been following the Ted Haggard story...
Just letting you know he's on CNN right now interviewing with Larry King.

Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever.
Basically the caller said he knew him from time spent in Col. Springs and he was now in FL I believe, living as an openly gay man. He asked Ted if he (Ted) felt that he could still live as the kind of Christian he had been previously. (to coming out and living that lifestyle openly)
Ted basically said that he encouraged this man to work this out with the scriptures and the Holy Spirit guiding him. He said the man should read the scriptures and let the Spirit lead him and process it all.
Larry asked him then, about the Bible saying homosexuality is wrong, and Ted answered, yes, and that is something that this man would have to work out.
What I found was he wasn't condemning himself or anyone else who struggled with sin, but he also didn't condone it and made it pretty clear he was believing it was a sin and he needed help overcoming it.
He seemed a mix of humility and hopefullnes for his future. I was impressed with his wife, even moreso than him.
I also heard him interviewed by Dr. Dobson on his radio program this past week. I understand he was also on Oprah?
At first I thought he was likely just seeking fame thru this, but as I listened longer I believe he was sincere.

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Hey, Mrs LPW, two things:
1.) Awesome singing on the other thread!
2.) Are you counting down to Christmas 2009?

There is a local ministry in this area called Prodigal Ministries.
It is headed by a young man named Jerry Armelli who found out that he was gay when he was in high school. Later, with God's help he left that lifestyle and now has a ministry of working with gays. He has spoken at our church (when I was going there) in a weekend service and some of his team members have spoken at our Monday Night Growth and Healing meeting. He is married now. From what I remember, his emphasis is on the difference between being gay and living the gay life style. He does not try to explain how people are gay but teaches that with God's help they can leave that lifestyle.
