Depends on who is influencing you Aquila...

You will become who you hang out with... it happens...

It won't stop there it never does...

Doctrine is the next step...

Let's see where it goes...

Yep. Next thing you know you won't be any different than the baptist. I still can't understand why people have so many problems with the Baptist folks.

I heard a lifelong pentecostal testify in our church that he grew up in Pentecost but didn't get "saved" until he went to the Baptist church. He now goes to a Pentecostal church but struggles with the doctrinal inconsistencies.

Not the point... but true enough that considering the outward appearance there will be no separation between that of the church and the world...

but of course that is being "relevant" to reach those that are lost... silly me I forgot...

Modesty of appearance can be exhibited without looking like a woman comes out of a 1950 magazine.

You're wrong about doctrine, RR, but correct about becoming like your companions.

Sad.... Would not say it's short at all but not what my personal opinion on what letting the hair grow is. I don't make it a heaven or hell issue but of honor and love to God.

I am speaking of Oneness Apostolics, Edjen

Granted .... Anyone has the right to call themselves Apostolic ... even Catholics do ...

However .... instititutions like USGT are academic instititutions ... that apparently services Oneness Apostolics ... and not just the UPCI.

The discourse, in a forum like this, has always been ABOUT TRUTH, EdJen ...

Truth ... should be our focus ... not just a political, ideological agendas. Any organization should be able to define it's limits ... however with truth being a guiding principle, IMO.

Many today do not know their Oneness Apostolic identity ... in the light of truth ... God's Word, history, logic, etc.

Does truth matter, EdJen? I think it does and we should not run from it ... or seek to censor or sanitize it ... or believe we've grasped every aspect of it.

Apostolic means just that ... of the Apostles ... what did the Apostles teach and practice and do we practice Apostolic doctrine?

not sure what the reference to UGST is about...unless to say that they should teach the truth. I agree that truth should be taught....and truth does matter. But to quote our dear roman friend...what is truth?

What is the Apostolic truth? Is it just what the 12/13 Apostles said...what they did? What about the apostolic writings that are not included in the NT canon? Are they less truth?

Any organization that is ran by man...will have to define its own truth. They will need to have rules/laws/and definitions that make thier "truth" extra-Biblical.

There cannot and never will be universal Apostolic truth for all these man-made organizations. It simply cannot be.

I also do not think that God's Word, history, logic, and etc....are all equal when it comes to defining truth.

most history is written by winners....and they don't always tell the truth.
