You know that if I intended to slur, I am quite capable of doing so. I just sometimes find it funny that your 48 years of experience (the majority outside of mainstream oneness thought) qualifies you to pass judgment and make blanket statements as though you were an authority! You have been away from mainstream Oneness philosophy much longer than you were in it so I do not see you as having any validity at all in present term discussions.

And that is not a slur it is a statement of opinion and personal view.

Here we have a self-proclaimed expert on "Pentecost" insinuating that "conservative Oneness Pentecostals" are simply a Christianised version of the Taliban.

To suggest that we are a Taliban-in-Waiting is beyond the pale of any "good natured ribbing", it is not capable of being passed off as "poetic hyperbole".

Here, *I* can be honest. I think folks who like to compare "conservative Pentecostals" to the Taliban are lost, plain and simple, are deceived, are ensared by the devil, and possibly may be reprobate and beyond hope.

But that's just my opinion, which of course means no more than the opinions of Taliban terrorists... right?

I have many close relatives, friends, etc still in old time UPC and I listen to, watch, and even attend numerous UPC meetings and churches.

This in addition to spending the first 24 years of my life being UPC, graduating from a UPC Bible College,etc.

I have as much experience / knowledge of the UPC as you do.

That article reminded me of when we toppled the Taliban in Afghanistan and I read an article and saw photos of what the Afghan border crossing looked like between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The crossing shacks had nails all over them and hanging from those nails were streams of audio tape that had been ripped from cassette shells of confiscated tapes taken from vehicles crossing into Afghanistan. The Taliban did not allow any music into the country other than Islamic chanting. I thought to myself that this is what it might be like here if some Pentecostals had their way in American government!
