yes but not in the same way that triniarians do. the creed doth not a trinitarin make.

but the trinitarian doctrine doth make one NOT Apostolic in the sense being understood here on AFF. period...

Chan, on a personal note, I believe you are a hybred. somewhere between Oneness and Trinitarian. I know you are commited to an historical construct of the trinitarian doctrine but I also know that you have a belief system that includes baptism in Jesus name(or you did at one point).

I will leave that debate to Elder Epleys thread.

I am just trying to answer your question about what makes one Apostolic as defined here on AFF, for the purpose of having a common understanding of what we are.

you can debate the meanings of these things as you wish, but clearly what I have said here, is about as close as you will get in understanding what is meant when someone uses the term "Apostolic" on AFF.

It was a very good definition Ferd ... and having filled the criteria ... I AM MORE APOSTOLIC THAN YOU'LL EVER BE.

Do you agree with it the way the words were posted? I originally asked you if you DISAGREE with any of it (other than that one line about the catholic and apostolic church).

Ah, but that's really the whole issue, isn't it? The original poster wanted a definition of what it means to be "apostolic."

I adhere to the Creed I quoted. Baptism in Jesus' name is a separate doctrine entirely (for that matter, I've read where the Church didn't start baptizing in the "titles" until around the fifth century). Of course, I don't believe that "in the name" means "say the name over someone," I believe it means to exercise the authority of the One who gave it.
