I'm just asking why do we do the things that Paul at least appeared to compare to "madness?"
I've been in services with groups where just about the entire congregation would sing together in tongues. It was beautiful and moving. I imagine it must have also beeen very compelling to any unbelievers present.

If you read the whole of 1.COR.12 Apostle Paul is talking giving messages in tongues in a congreagational setting.
