Some of the root subconscious behaviors underlying kosmos, or in the english application of cosmetics came from deception.

Other cosmetics came from the slathering on of coatings and paints in practicing pagan rituals.

If there was scripture, I doubt you'd spending all this time cutting and pasting insignificant facts about cosmetics.
