All they talk about with Esther is purify and clean. smell great. This was obviously not a Jewish program.
The painting is from the Egyptian cultic practices.
I have been a little lax in letting the paint and coating folks get by without scriptureal support for painting like the egyptians.

Well, we are making progress. That is scripture. However, I'm not sure it supports no makeup.

I'm assuming Coadie and his other buddies here worship on Sunday. I wonder if they know that there are Sabbatarian Apostolics who will make the argument that they are following a pagan practice if they worship on Sunday?

Nope Seven days. Actually between house church, small groups and hombe bible studies, sometimes it is daily.
Back to paint jobs. Why did the egyptians pass on their rituals?

Coadie
Can you give scripture against cosmetics?

Truthseeker didn't come in proclaiming that God had no opinion. He was asking an honest question. He wanted people's thoughts and opinions on the subject.

Where did you read that the Egyptians started this? Maybe they got it from Israel.

Thank you, I'm interested in both sides position, but prefer to see scripture on the subject regardless of position being presented.

Doesn't have to. It is your job to defend make up and cosmetics. Do you insist adding to the bible is ok also?
Does being born again exclude changing from the uber worldly looks?
We all know backsliders rapidly embrace the worldy looks.
Does God not bring a husband to a woman that isn't painted up?
Make up helps them get a man. keep a man. How many men did cover girl Christie Brinkley have relationships with?

If you go back You will see I asked questions in defense of the no makeup position when first posting with TRFrance. I'm interested in both sides input in regards to what the scripture says.

Bottom line is, TS, we can take a personal conviction, and decide to preach against it and tell other folks they shouldnt do it either... and then point to some ambiguous or imprecise "scriptural principle" as a way of justifying it.
But if someone else decides to use this same "scriptural principle" idea to preach against something that we know is okay... we'll just say that guy's being too judmental or closed-minded.

Oh come on, do you really believe that his 5-10 repeats for a scriptural cite that witnesses God's opinion on cosmetics was not positioning his view that God does not have one?
I am very happy for you that you can see the role TS has played in this thread as just a guy wanting to explore a topic.
He started with the "wanton eyes" angle, not cosmetics. At some point he found a more fun horse to ride and saddled up.
