Re: Ready for a Gun ban?

I got up today and stayed home from work. I have my two year old little boy. We went out for lunch and had a good time. I can speak my mind out here on the internet and I can watch the news I choose. I can also buy whatever books I like and yes...in spite of all the talk...I can buy a gun if I need to.

For the life of me, I just don't see what's so wrong with this country. I don't know why everyone's so down on America. A gun ban wouldn't be popular. The most I can see is a ban on semi-automatic weapons. I think some of us are going off the deep end with fear and paranoia.

Amen!!!

Guns are NOT for the lawless................guns are to protect ourselves FROM the lawless. If it were not for the lawless, we would not need guns.

Jesus also stated that if we live by the sword, we will die by the sword. I believe what He was trying to say was that if your life revolves around your "sword/gun" and that is how you live your life, then that choice of lifestyle will take you out!

There is a huge difference between living life that way and owning/carrying a gun for self defense.

We have people in law enforcement who attend NLC and I encourage them and anyone else to legally "carry" during services.

I do NOT live in a fearful way and am not afraid to die.............I just don't want to do it today at the hands of some wacko...........or tomorrow, or the next day or the next day or the day after that....................................LOL

what lies? All anyone did was quote Obama's own pick for AG.

BTW what is the link to Obama signing a bill opposing a pistol ban in D.C.? What does that have to do with the assault rifle ban?

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court's repeal of the ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., may be a boon for a segment of the firearms industry whose last major windfall might have been in the heyday of the Dirty Harry movies: those who make and sell revolvers.

The court ruled that a blanket ban on handguns is unconstitutional, but D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and other Washington officials want to keep in place a prohibition on semiautomatic handguns — those in which a bullet clip is inserted into the gun's grip.

High court strikes down the ban

June 26, 2008
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a sweeping ban on handguns in the nation's capital violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms.

looks like Obama is irrelevant. The supreme court already created their order.
