Re: Changing Denominations
Rhoni, I am fairly new to this forum and sometimes think I am not sophisticated enough for it. That aside, please permit me to add my simple contribution to your thread. Due to my father's job years ago, we moved to a district where the ministry, for the most part became very corrupt and lacking in true leadership. Our family was destroyed by ungodly counsel, malicious false accusations and politics. We didn't break the law, rebel against the pastor or split the church. We were very involved locally and in the district. We had life situations that many families have but our mistake was the people we associated with. Long story short, we suffered years of tremendous pain. But God looks on the heart. My advice is to cut away the bitterness and focus on your Saviour, never stray from the Biblical truth that has been revealed to you and guard your heart. Daily prayer and submission and a sincere heart without offense will carry you through. God led my husband and I to the church we have been in for 20 years and our pastor is the epitome of love, grace and mercy, a true shepherd. May God keep you and your faith fail you not.
