Re: Obama Thanks Himself In Teleprompter Meltdown

The government outlaws other forms of taking human life (murder). I have no problem with them outlawing this particular form of murder.

He doesn't "favor abortion" he favors choice. Many Americans, especially those of us with a libertarian bent, don't favor abortion...but we don't think that the Government can adequately address the issue either. Funny...Republicanites talk about the Government's inability to do anything right...but they run to it to address the most complex and personal social problems we have. Abortion is best dealt with through private sources, churches, charities, hospitals, and crisis centers with education and support services for women facing crisis pregnancies. They don't trust Government to address issues of Health Care or Social Security...but they think Government is somehow competent enough to police the most difficult health decisions a woman can make and who we marry.

Government isn't able to adequately deal with abortion. Never has been able to and never will
.

So using your logic, why are there drug laws. You against choice when it comes to narcotics also?

The gubment seems to claim to have the authority to impose taxes. But not abortion?

Your claim is false. He does not only favor abortion, He puts a lot more money on it and uses taxpayer money to tell us he does support abortion.

Obama is pro abortion. Liars say he is not. Go read the democrat platform under which he agreed to support the platform and was endorsed to run for Pres. Next read the latest rendition or two of the Freedom Of choice Act. It proves that he even removes the right for health care workers to exercise their conscience and
1 speak against abortion
2 Not do abortions nor prescribe the abortion pill
3 remain silent regarding referrals to abortionists
4 Recieve medicare funding when they oppose abortion.
5 It eliminates parental consent or niotification of parents for monors seeking abortion
6 all late rterm abortion laws will be eliminated.
OBAMA wants to remove every state and federal law covering abortion including proctections of babies born alive.

We will see folks continue to lie about What Obama stands for.

Obama is the most radical pro abortion senator and now the most pro abortion President ever.

I wholeheartedly agree. Are you of the opinion that the Republican party aims to do this or that electing McCain would have gotten this done?

No. I think the Republican party way too often uses this to tie the religious right to their party. I don't think they are serious about doing anything.

There is only so much you can do until a clear majority of public opinion is on your side.

What the Republicans have done, and this is indisputable, is to limit abortions, ban federal tax dollars from paying for and promoting abortions ,etc.

One of Obama's first actions as President was to reverse the policy of past Republican Presidents banning Federal dollars to foreign aid programs that promote, perform, and otherwise support abortion.

That is a fact those of you who try to claim there is no difference between the parties can't ignore (well you can but you should not.)

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

CC, I don't really have the energy to rehash all this, but I am of the opinion that in the decades since Roe v. Wade, there were times when the clear moral majority was opposed to abortion. Almost every Supreme Court Justice since Roe v. Wade was appointed by a Republican. There was ample opportunity to do something about the millions of murders, but in my opinion, the abortion issue was reduced to rhetoric, politics, and campaign platform. I'm not fine with millions of abortions regardless of who is in power, and I would love if abortion were even half the focus of an actual Republican administration as it is during campaign cycles.
