Ferd, this is why people keep (or should keep) cats as pets. It gives you something (that is living) to drop kick when you get really REALLY frustrated.

Bruce Lee really only had one good movie, Enter the Dragon. He wasn't the best actor but this film showed that when he was surrounded by at least a couple of other good actors and under a good director he could really shine.

As far as my quote goes (from Enter the Dragon), I find it extremely timely and poignant as to many of the discussions here.

You are right I am angry and I am not my enemy but there is an enemy out there. Many of you who appear to be my friends really aren't. Please leave me alone.

You weren't fighting, Renda.

Rhonda, I have known you for a few years now, and you never cease to amaze me.

You write that many who appear to be your friends are not. Why do say this when it is so untrue?!

From the first time we met online to now you speak whatever comes to your mind, not considering the consequences. Yet when others speak as freely with you, we're not your friends.

That is untrue, unfair, and hurtful.

As for being smarter than the average bear, you have stated this many times on the different forums. People 'pick' on you because you're educated...that's not our imaginations working overtime at your expense...hon, those are your words.

You ARE your own worst enemy. Like it or not, that is the truth. You ARE a smart lady and have interesting things to say, but you repeatedly get into trouble.

It can't be everyone else's fault. Somewhere along the way one has to take responsibility for their actions.

How you can call everyone who doesn't agree with you "minnows in the shallow end," and not think it is offensive is beyond me.

As I wrote this morning, you have changed, and it saddens me...

And in refusing to attend the Gathering you have distanced yourself from those whom you have known for decades, and I know they would love to see you.

Don't do this...

As someone posted, sincerely apologize for it all, and get back to discussing an interesting topic...

Re: It was never about money...

It probably was more about jockeying for position in what Judas thought would be an Earthly Kingdom. Perhaps he was trying to force Jesus' hand at revealing Himself as the King of the World. The one that would overthrow Rome and once again make Israel the nation that all others would be subject too.

I think there were probably more than one reason Judas betrayed Jesus but it's interesting to explore the possiblities. I would agree with what you and Falla have proposed but there may be a couple more reasons as well.

Judas may have been thinking he would have an place among the Jewish religious elite if Jesus wasn't the Christ.

I formed my hypothesis because when Judas saw that Jesus was not resisting nor defending Himself nor rising to power, Judas went back to the Priests and said it was a mistake.

Re: It was never about money...

Rhoni, these words came to mind (I had to look them up to be exact) and maybe you can use them...Not sure they are a perfect fit but here they are:

And, so Arachne, rival of her fame,
might learn the folly of her mad attempt,
from the great deeds of ancient histories,
and what award presumption must expect...
(From Ovid’s Metamorphoses) – Book 6.

Rhoni, don’t allow yourself to be turned into "a spider" because of something you've devised. Our God is gracious and loving. Don't contend with Him or yourself in matters to which you already know the answers. Satan is the one that kills, steals, and destroys - not those who are trying to help you.

You know Jesus Christ is God and not Minerva/Athena. Sometimes a mythological story can instruct like a parable. Don’t contend with THE God or the gifts that are within you. Don’t let your life become an imbroglio of your own devices. Don’t even let that happen to a thread.

Blessings are not always in disguise. Continuously look for them and expect to find them in unlikely places.

OK. Now I can go to sleep. I hope this helps and doesn't hinder. God bless.
