Re: Let us be a part of the gathering with you....
Well, the much anticipated Gathering has come and gone. Though we hoped more could have joined us- it was what it was- a time of fellowship and fun. A chance to meet some folks, renew old accqauintances- and put some faces to some names that I have come to regard as more than just friends- family. I appreciate all who came, and thank you all for making this first ever Gatheriing a success. And it was. Maybe not what we were expecting- maybe not what we hoped for- but... a beginning. And beginnings are successes in the making.
Renda put together a great meeting. I give her all the credit because... well... she did most of the work. A class act if there ever was one, who knows how to get things done.
And, I want to say things to Bro. Eddie and Sis Sherri and the Truth and Love staff for alowig us to invade their beautiful facilities for our little Gathering. Great people who have a heart for the people of Jackson.
I guess this Gathering was a learning experience. We learned what it takes to put one of these things together. And, learning is also a success.
So, the question is, was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! Would I do it again? Thats a big 10-4! In fact.... well... I'll save that for another time. Anyway... thank you all for coming. Thank you Steven Hoover family for the coffee and teas. Now... time to go to church at Love and Truth....

Re: Let us be a part of the gathering with you....
I just got home from Jackson and had three hours of reflecting. It was a nice time and now it's back to my normal life. However, now that I've met so many wonderful people, I can't say that I'll ever be the same.
Service this morning was great, and I enjoyed Pastor Eddie's preaching. We took lots of pics again today and those will be posted whenever people get a chance......mine will be tomorrow evening.
Special thanks again to everyone who come and/or contributed to this event. Like OA said...I'd do it again.

It was really great getting to meet Lisa (FB) and her daughter, Joy (HO) and her daughter and the Ravens all for the first time! I'm adding to my list of AFF'ers that I've met in person!
Melissa (GA), Rick (One Accord) and I went to the 8:30 service, then everyone else attended the 9:30 service and OA went ahead and left. Lisa and her daughter stayed for the first half of the third service and the rest of us headed home!
Lisa and Bekka, and Melissa will be on the road for many more hours - - I pray they have traveling mercies!
A good time was had by all!
Lisa, Bekka, Melissa and I stayed at Sherri's and both nights we had girls night - - it was fun!

I am also glad I got to visit Love and Truth church. I have been telling my girls about the church and youth program for a while now. I really wanted to experience it. I loved the two services I was able to be in... the preaching was great, I enjoyed the worship....especially in the Edge. The presence of God was so strong, I was like "ok Lisa, get a grip, stop crying" but the tears just flowed... I held back actually.
I have always loved TN and have always wanted to live there... so, on the way down, I was talking to my "forever best friend" about my desire to live in TN...and I was checking things out while I was there... He kept telling me that his state was beautiful too... but there is more to places than beautiful scenery.... churches are important and Love and Truth has a good thing going.
We really enjoyed the services and would love to be there on a Wed night... we will probably have to make a trip in the future to be there mid week.
