What was your National Day of Prayer Event?

In many cities across our nation churches have come together for this event. What did your city do?

Ours was a Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. I am guessing, but in a city of 120,000 there was at least 1,000 in attendance and may have even pushed 1,500.

It was a good event with about 5 Pastor's leading prayer over the city, a good worship band doing a number of songs, and special guest speaker Mike Huckabee who did well. Overall it was very good.

What was yours and did you participate?

That's interesting to me. What did they do? Obviously an outdoor event was it just prayer or was there something else. How many showed up?

30 min event. The Mayor spoke about the importance of faith in public life and in the decisions he makes.

A chior sang a song. Three ministers spoke briefly and prayed for our city, state, and nation. We all prayed together then sang God Bless America.

Then we got the "stickers" and left.

It is not so well attended (usually less than 50) but there are other community prayer events at all the schools too.

We always try to go.

Us too. We had about 100 in attendance and had ministers speak on each areas of prayer and then, of course, pray! Color Guard from local V.A. and 2 songs by our church's praise team. It was an hour long. Our Prayer Coordinator at church is the NDP Coordinator for our area. Our attendance is excellent for our area.
