Sherri,
Can you give us some sizes or a list of things we can contribute to help them? We had a family in our church that this happened to and just buying them some clothing, shoes, ect was such a blessing. I hope they had insurance.

Praying for them, Rhonda

Re: House Burned!

Their names are Richie, Anna and daughter Lauren. They have already started to see miracles happen. The lady who owns the nice empty house next door has told them that they can live there for a couple months rent free. The furniture store in their little town has told them they are going to donate furniture. Their insurance is good and hopefully they will come out ahead financially, but of course that doesn't replace the memories.

Thanks for praying; please continue!

Sherri,

I am praying for them. Sounds like people in their community are helping and that is great.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: House Burned!

Just wanted to give a quick report on this family. They are doing amazing!!! We took up a special offering for them last Wed. and they have had so much donated to them from the community and from friends and strangers too. It's just been awesome to watch them go through this with such faith and such big smiles on their faces.

It kind of tore me up Sunday as we sang that "Healer" song and the line was in there about "He walks with me through fire". I looked over and saw that 16 year old blind girl and thought about how scary that must have been to try to get out of the house without being able to see. She really had to trust her earthly father and her Heavenly Father.
