I haven't been since the storm. Wouldn't mind going fishing down there again.

Re: Biloxi MS..

From what I have been told by folks who live near that part of the I - 10 corridor is NOT the place that it once was.

Pensacola, FL is just a few more hours east. Consider Pensacola.

Or maybe spend sometime visiting with a relative or something.

Waste of quality time to go to Biloxi, Gulfport, Mobile, or New Orleans.

Re: Biloxi MS..

The last time I went to Biloxi was on my honeymoon in 1978!!! It wasn't great back then, and I've heard it's even worse now since the hurricane. I don't know that personally - just hearsay. I would head to Destin!

I can see your point to a certain extent. Things have changed. I wouldn't go as far as "a waste of time"

Downtown NO still has great shopping and food that is beyond compare. Been there 20 times but this last time we took the little girl on our first horse drawn carriage ride.......SPECTACULAR. The ambience is still there in full force and the French Quarter was not effected by Katrina.

As far as further up the coast....google Ship Island. Its a great day at the beach plus a boat ride. We saw a few dolphins and the birds doing nose dives for popcorn was fun for the.......uh errr.......kids, yeah the kids.

Of course theres the gambling
