Re: Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage
How can you be so sure, PO? Do you have a source?

That's the thing!!! The sources don't make sense. My husband and I have been married for 22 years, this August. We haven't changed since we were 16 years old.
I keep reading about the flipping out hot flashes and all the downhill stuff - it just doesn't make sense! I'm sitting here waiting to fall apart, though. The statistics are against me.

Wellllll...I doubt if Mark Gungor just pulled that figure out of thin air. He seems like a pretty intelligent guy who has done his research. I'm sure there are exceptions to every statistic, though.
I've read other books that stated men have their sexual peak in their late teens, early 20's, and women have theirs around their 30's. I didn't personally do the research--that's just what I've read.
Regardless, I think the point is understanding that men and women are generally different, and have different sexual needs and peaks. Ergo, to have a healthy marriage, you have to understand how your spouse differs from you.
Sounds like everything's working great for you and your husband, so no need to worry about it!!!!
I have a friend who is already going through menopause in her 20's. She and her husband took the advice of her doctor, and had a baby sooner than they had planned, because she may not be able to conceive much longer. So obviously there are people who "fall apart" earlier--and some a lot earlier--than others.

All that stuff is just depressing. I don't want that in my life. I'd run out in front of a bus or something.
I think some people just want to have problems and so they do.
What was that stupid book my mother was reading when I was growing up? Oh, I'm Okay, You're Okay
Just live and forget about it! That's my motto!

Yes! I love the Nothing Box illustration.

I'm not sure what video it's in anymore but he starts drawing showing a man at 18
*
And then shows his sex drive drop off with a line that you expect to look like this:
*\
But instead looks like this *--------
It's hilarious because although he says it drops off, on the chart if it drops at all, you'd need a magnifying glass to see it! LOL!!
