They are? Care to provide examples please?
I mean, I haven't worked with every professor out there, but I have yet to have a *really* horrible experience in several years of college. The one that was the worst was mostly a minor disagreement. He thought he knew everything, I thought he didn't.

I haven't had any really bad ones either, although the majority DO have a leftist agenda.
The problem comes when Christian students entering college have not been given enough of a foundation. This is where many unbiblical teachings (standards) really start to rear their ugly head and can backfire horribly. It is also why I harp against young-earth creationism so strongly. ANY teachings that have NO biblical or scientific foundation going into college will fall under the spotlight of higher academia.

No, it was a general statement. IMO any professor of religion that starts with a premise the scripture is not inspired (as many do) they are anti-Christ.
I am not anti college at all, and know there are many good Christian schools as well.

Oh, well I haven't taken any religion courses. Yet. I'm trying to figure out how to fit them into my major though, there's a comparative religions class I really want to take.

This I definitely agree with. But, obviously good Christian kids growing up in good Christian homes, attending good Christian churches have good foundations! Right?
I was college age, but not in college, when what foundation I had crumbled all around me. It was all built on lies (well, except for maybe a few points that were worth hanging onto, oddly enough, I did hang onto them). If parents are that concerned about the foundation they've built for their kids, maybe they should have worried a little sooner and worked to build a foundation that isn't so shaky.

I just noticed this. You're saying that a professor who doesn't believe the scriptures are inspired is "evil"?

LOL! It's a bit inflamatory I suppose. But yes, in a general sense we are all "evil" and wicked. Our only redemptive hope lies in the Christ of the scriptures. When one dismisses them they have alienated themselves from any true goodness.

Just checking.
I am glad you differentiated between the Christ of the Scriptures, and the Scriptures themselves. They don't save, He does. One can question the validity of the Scriptures without dismissing Christ.

That would be a difficult one because the scriptures provide the very definition of who Christ is.

I never said I like to do things the easy way.
It really doesn't seem complicated to me, but I don't do a very good job of explaining it.
