No, because you wouldn't be able to decompress and relax and would continually be pulled into resolving issues. Same thing with a Pastor. The church is his work. I do agree with this, blessed. You're right. I wouldn't go to my home church during my vacation. BUT I would go somewhere else.
The problem I have with it is the three months. Like I said, Walt's been at his company for almost 25 years and still only gets 3 weeks vacation. Our pastor gets 4 weeks paid vacation after his FIRST year with us. And still he took an ADDITIONAL six weeks back in 2006 for a sabbatical? Plus he gets paid time off to go to conferences and other educational things. It all added up to another 5-6 weeks on top of the 10 weeks he already had taken that year.
Am I the only one who feels like that was excessive?
