Jesus Wine

I was at one church where they seemed to always insist upon using 2 or 3 year old Mogen David from a poorly sealed bottle. The stuff was always sour. The thinking seemed to be that the children and young people were supposed to hate the taste at communion so that they would never be tempted to try real wine.

And folks were going to hell if they used grape juice and "mocked God!"

The pastor would rail about how if you had sin in your life you would die from eating the 2 or 3 year old crackers and drinking the vinegar (1 Corinthians 11:27-29). The communion services were always sort of Jim Jones style. I so longed for a Christian communion to be a part of.

I would drink it. Probably wouldn't like the taste that much, but I would give it a try. Everything in moderation and all that.

I would drink it. It would be good stuff- not watered down, thats a goofy idea-to say they watered it down to drink but Jesus turned the water into the best wine!
