Bro. CC1, I have been watching and waiting for an updated picture of
your little granddaughter and just saw this one. She is a little doll. I know
you and Mrs. CC1 have so much fun with her. We have so enjoyed our
20 grands, and now the eldest grandchild, who is 26 yrs old today, and
his wife are expecting our first GREAT-grandchild. Life is going from Grand
to GREAT and we are excited! How blessed we are.

Thanks! The previous avatar was her at either a few hours or one day old. This latest one is at 10 months old. It was taken about 5 weeks ago. She is an absolute doll.

She gets so excited with the simple things in life like a balloon. You would think someone handed her a million bucks. I just wish the pic were of enough quality for you to see how blue her beautiful eyes are.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

She'll grow up to be a great preacher some day

CC1, I think Darcie is going to be there.

My brother and family are coming through here tomorrow on their way there; they're staying at my folks for a couple days before they head to Nashville. I'm going to go over Tuesday and spend some time with them. I don't know if he's preaching at the Youth thingy, or just going.

This past week I was in Jackson, TN on business and had to drive from there to the Mobile, AL area. I went down US45 that I have never driven down before and lo and behold before you know it I saw a Loving Spoonful church on the right!! I then started looking closely at signs and eventually saw something that said "Adamsville". I realized I had passed where Eddie used to pastor before moving to Jackson.

HAHAHA - it's what he calls our church (churches). It's actually Love & Truth Church.

CC1 - what you saw was Love & Truth Henderson, TN. If you were on the Bypass in Jackson earlier, you were within about two blocks of our main church here. NEXT TIME, CALL!!! (Of course I was in San Francisco this week, but Eddie was here!)

I would have called but I arrived in Jax the night before about 5:30 pm then had to work in the hotel until about 7 pm before going to dinner with a pretty woman...er....business associate. Then had to leave at 8 am the next morning.

Hopefully next time we can get together for a cup of coffee or someting. I would love to see you guys since it has been a couple of years. I have made the gooey cake several times since then!
