He made it clear that due to the Bush administration's neglect of the al-qaeda in Afghanistan, troop levels there would have to be increased to keep the Taliban and al-qaeda from retaking Afghanistan.
The desire of the majority of the country and represented by Pres. Obama was for the war in Iraq to be ended. Thus the pull-out date for next year in Iraq.
