Deacon Blues - What a Thought - - Be The Church!

On FB our own Deacon Blues posted this yesterday and it has been on my mind every since I read it.

"Be the church to someone today. Pray for someone, call someone, encourage them, give some money to someone in need, smile, invite someone to church, give a homeless person a lunch, visit an elder that is shut in or a nursing home, tell someone about Jesus. Be the church!"

Life is so short. What better things can we do but those things that will be count for eternity.

Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Being the church........is being the part of the body of Christ. His hands, His heart, His mouth. Being like Christ, doing what Christ did...someone may just call us Christians and mean it.
