You people want an uneven playing field. Democrats can do anything they want but Republicans have to live by the moral standard of a cloistered nun!

THAT IS JUST PELOSI! (read my thread on my new cuss word).

The FACT is that the republicans in South Carolina dont have a roll to play in this. Sanford lives and dies by his own deeds. if he is guilty of a crime then the AG of the state needs to file charges. If the AG doesnt file charges then everyone needs to shove something in their pie hole and stop acting like every repbulcan in the country shelped an hispanic woman.

I am about sick of this double standard. You and the libs dont get to be the moral po-po when it comes to what Republicans do or dont do.

we will handle our own affairs ourselves.

thank you

the non-management.
I disagree. The Republican party of SC definitely has a vested interest politically in what one of their members is doing. It will affect their fundraising efforts and their credability to all of the "family values" folks who are sold on the Repubs.

There is a double standard because the Repubs have sold themselves as moral, upright, and family values folks. Afterall, that's what most Republicans vote for right?

Dems and Indepedents don't vote on values issues as the main cog in the platform.

The double standard is exactly what the Republican party has developed for their benefit right?

of course you disagree. you havent agreed with the Republican party on a blessed thing since youve been posting here.

Sorry your team lost the moral high ground when Bill perjured himself. You dont get to play in this game. we dont want your input.

Some things liberals don’t get to complain about
1. Republican spending money
2. Republicans lying
3. Republicans having moral lapses
4. Republicans driving drunk and consequently drowning their dates.

etc

Mike is barking about this. Remember Blagojevech was ok with everything until it came to direct and open bribery. When he put the senate seat on auction, the fed stepped in. He blackmailed, he threated the paper, he had fraudulent state health contracts and the list is long.

I don't care about Republicans having moral lapses as long as their moral lapses aren't a hindrance to their official responsibilities. What Mark Sanford, Newt Gingrich, Bob Livingston, Mark Foley, Tim Hutchison, and David Vidder do on their own time is a private matter.

Now the Republican party tries to portray itself as a bastion of family values, Godliness and morals so when one of the family values boys proves to not have any, the public finds it hypocritical.

When laws are broken and states are left with no executive in charge, that's a different story.

Re: The hypocrisy of Mark Sanford continues

TRENTON, N.J. – State Republicans on Friday said Gov. James E. McGreevey should step aside immediately, one day after the governor revealed he is gay, had an extramarital affair and will resign in November

Briberies did him in. As a gay, he was a faithfull democrat

This Republican vs. Democrat thing is killing me. I just hope the Americanpeople wake up before it's too late. Unfortunately, I fear that people are so entrenched in these two positions that it is impossible. God have mercy on the America that we are leaving to our children...regardless of which group of politicians as we now have them are in control.
