Bro. Light, I see that you have not answered my question, and that's good!! Good because, respectfully, you really don't have an answer which will suffice.

May I share my heart with you, Bro. Light?! Thank you...I knew you wouldn't mind. I'm going to hit on a few things and then head back into hibernation...

I have known some bridge builders in my nearly 58 years on this planet, and they have been ordinary men and women who attempted extraordinary things, oft times with success.

These visionaries stepped out by faith into arenas that others, for whatever reason, would not.

They were often mocked and misunderstood, but moved as they were led by the Spirit of the Most High, resisting the temptation to follow the pack.

The pack would say, "Don't go into the darkness!!" or what they view as darkness.

However, the bridge builder realizes that the funny thing about darkness is, if only a match is lit, or a single pinlight is flipped on, it ceases to be darkness.

Darkness is relative. Often our blinders keep us from seeing the light. Our eyes are so accustomed to searching everywhere for darkness we don't see the light that is in front of us.

Being a bridge builder is not an easy task. It's not a job that if it were posted on a church bulletin board that there was an opening many would rush to apply.

It takes people of tremendous strength of character to be a bridge builder...those not comfortable with opposition within the Household of Faith need not seek this position.

Bishop and Sis. Tenney are two such people of strength.

They are confident enough in the God they have served lo these many years that where He leads they will follow.

And this humble sister believes He has led them to places that many would say, "No way!!" Even TBN...oops, did I say that?!

YES I did, and I'll say it again...I believe the Lord led them there.

You may not agree, and that is your choice, but who is qualified to say He didn't?! I'm not...are you?!

I have heard the stories of those who were saved out of the bars and whatnot to go back and preach to those they once ran with, and God did marvelous works.

Why is all right for one to go into a bar or nightclub to reach a soul, but not all right to witness of God's glory on a television program?!

I will never be able to wrap my mind around that...

Who can say that with certainty that the words deposited into the hearts of Matt & Laurie Crouch that night were not heaven sent?!

Several years ago I was watching TBN, and being quite critical in my opinion of what I saw. I will say without reservation that I am not a fan of Paul & Jan Crouch, but I shall never foget the voice of the Lord speaking to my heart.

Please understand that I am not one who says, "The Lord told me this and that," unless He did.

I heard the Lord say, "Come down off your high horse...you don't know what I am doing in the hearts of these people."

Truth is, Bro. Light, none of us know what God is doing in the hearts and lives of anyone. And as it is in the hearts and lives of others, so it is with the Apostolic Church.

It is easy to look at those who do not line up with our convictions or understanding to place labels..."Liberal, Charismatic, backslidden, weak on the message..."

But allow me to share this with you...the church of a well-known elder in the WPF is considered liberal by some in that org because they have a Live Web cast.

Funny, isn't it?! While many here would call this church conservative, they are libs by those playing in their own sandbox.

CC1 was correct about the different streams of Pentecost...it is amazing the differing views in Oneness Pentecostalism.

But I can't help but believe that if we would just let Almighty God be God, and the chains of speculation and suspicion are broken, we would see the Lord do the work through us He wants to do.

It seems to me that if a well respected elder is invited to speak at an Apostolic college reunion, or a meeting that is not Oneness, or any other function, our prayer would be, "Godspeed, Bishop Tenney."

Okay, I'm done...

Bless you, Raven...

I woke with this thread on my mind...who knows but that a JCM grad will be at that reunion who no longer goes to church, and will be in need of a word of healing and restoration?!

This just can't be a bad thing...

Barb, I heard it said that there are two types of leaders.

1. Bridge builders
2. Wall builders

I want to be a bridge builder!

Amen, Mr. Steinway.

What are we here for, for goodness sakes? God is not making trophy pieces, He is about relationship with Him and with others.

Interesting thought. We seem to have an abundance of wall builders. Keeping us in and others out.
