Did you a wrangle a pass inside while the baptisms were taking place? I've done the tour of the Salt Lake City Temple - as much as they let us unclean "gentiles" see but could not even get near to see the big baptismal sitting on the oxen.
The local temple had an open house after it was built but has been closed to the public ever since. They kind of run it like it was CAF or something.
