Also, God is a Spirit. And trinitarians are seeing what they do by trying to see God in the natural. And you cannot see Or understand spiritual things, which God is, without the Lord revealing them to you according to what it says in
1st Cor. 2:10-14 anyway. So seek God as well as talk to that pastor. I was a Trinitarian, but even before, what they believed did not make sense to me. So I asked the Lord about this issue. And believe He told me to simply considering myself being one Sandy, yet also basically as that one Sandy basically having a spirit soul and body too. Yet I was not three Sandies either. And neither is he three Gods. Which is what they are believing, whether they want to admit it, or not. Three persons means three Gods or three spirits no matter how you cut it. But you also need to understand that God is a Spirit too. And therefore must be seen thru spiritual understanding, and not thru natural understanding as they are doing. But also it will make some angry when you tell then this too.
One scripture that really confirms God being one is Is. 9:
6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Might God, The EVERLASTING FATHER, the Prince of Peace.
And if that child is also the everlasting Father, then whether we understand how this could be, it just is because that is what who He says He is right there.
So your friend is not seeing what God is thru spiritual eyes at all. But is seeing what she was taught by her peers instead, their also seeing thru natural eyes too, I truly believe. Not understanding that it is no big deal for God to manifest Himself in three different ways at the same time at all. Betcha she does not beleive their is many Holy Spirits, even though there are many that have been filled with the Holy Ghost does she. Same principle there as is true concerning God being one, manifesting himself in the three different ways she is seeing three persons if you think about it.
But go talk to a Oneness pastor by all means. Just thought I would share this with you. Also in many places it says God is One, but never says he is a Trinity or three at all.
