How Did You Find AFF or Its Predecessors? - Page 2

A friend told me about GNC and then FCF. She rarely ever post here and only reads occassionaly. I don't know if she is still active on GNC or not. I haven't been there in awhile. Just don't have the time.

I used to be friends with someone that was on NFCF and he introduced me to it just as it was closing down. From there I heard about GNC, then AFF from GNC.

I cant remember when I started posting on either of them. I mostly read both of them.

While posting over at GNC, I heard the sounds of pots and pans clashing and saw mothers covering their children's ears and thought...hmmmm, I wonder what the crazy FCF is all about.

I visited FCF around 3 months before the "waiting on backups.....check that....no backups" event.

Despite much searching....could not find any reason to join NFCF.

AFF seemed different....same JCM alumni but different graduating class!

I came over and waited for BOOMM to ban me.

Then, in a surprise move, BOOMM had a self-inflicted exit wound (stuck a fork in an electrical socket) and I still linger, and have been upgraded from a moderate to an ultracon.

Now that's funny. I have not been banned since Boom and Phil Jones left. At the time I (must have) had a giant red target bigger then my whole body and they had fully loaded shotguns and where not afraid to use them. Almost anyone else could post some of the most outlandish things, yet I would say something half as bad and be given an instant "vacation".

By the way, I think I might hold some sort of record. I've never been banned. Not from FCF, nor NFCF, nor from AFF. Yeah me!

One night after church my pastor had told me there was probably going to be a split in the UPC. I was surpised, hadn't heard anything like that, so I googled in, and got something to do with Tulsa and "Aposotlic Friends Forum".
