Just finished the Backstage meetings. Whew! A lot of info. Keith & Elizabeth have gone back to the cottage to rest and we are meeting for dinner and then a big Summit service tonight.
May you all be blessed and have a great time!!! Wish I was there!
Me too!! That would make it a perfect AFF reunion. By the way, Mr. Steinway's sister was here last night too, so Keith & Elizabeth got to meet her. Her manerisms are so much like Mr. S's.
Service is about to start going to be listening to John Ragsdale- just heard Darci practicing with the music team.
Wish I was there!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
What an awesome weekend, and there's still more to come!! Thursday night and Friday during the day, we had sessions for Pastors/wives about church growth. Catered food and lots of good fellowship! Then last night, we had a powerful Summit service with all the L & T Churches and other visitors. John Ragsdale did about 30 miniutes of praise & worship and Eddie spoke a short while. There was prophetic ministry, prayer for needs, powerful worship - God was there in a huge way!
Today, we have had training sessions all morning for workers in Childrens, Youth, Connection, Media & Worship. Then we had a question & answer session with the pastoral staff from Jackson. Lunch at Jason's Deli and now home. But tomorrow we have regular services in the A.M. and then a huge banquet for all our volunteers tomorrow night (close to 300) at a place called the Star Center. It will be catered, so we don't have to do any work. Woohoo!
Darcie was in charge of the entire weekend, and I must say she was FABULOUS! Not only talented and gorgeous, but now we know how organized she is too!!
It was great to spend time with Keith & Elizabeth (and Renda for about a half hour), and also Grace Amazing and her husband today along with about 15 of their new church leaders. God is so good, sending me all these AFF friends!!! The Alvears will be in town tonight to spend the night, and even though I won't get to see them, it's a privilege to know that Jackson is blessed by their presence.
Sherri, would you mind asking Grace what time church starts in the morning at their new place and if they'll be there? I haven't visited in a while, and since they took over, I don't know if their services have changed around yet. Thanks.
