It's hard to imagine Tekle doing the things people are accusing him of doing. I remember the testimonies of how his baby was killed and how he was persecuted for the Gospel. This was back a few years while he was in UPC.

From my understanding, which may be faulty, he was a proponent of the DFD for a long time before the UPCI decided to deal with it and disfellowship him and the followers of the DFD in Ethiopia.

While he was in UPC I never heard a bad word spoken about him eventhough he believed the DFD. I am skeptical now that he in not UPC and I'm hearing these bad things. It seems that for the most part it's ok to say things about people that were once UPC that are not exactly true like he is now working with the government to persecute those he once fellowshipped with.

One person I may not be so skeptical of would be Billy Cole since he was close to Bro Tekle. And at least a few more unbiased accounts of what is happening would be nice to hear.

It's all so sad.

I don't know all the details either. However, I do know that I was given some first hand private information where Tekle was confrontational and disrespectful to Bro Cole on one of the last crusades there. It was related by a minister who was in the private moment with them.

It was not over the divine flesh, but I'll summarize it by saying that Tekle was taking a superiority approach.
