Doesn't it greatly bother you that he's a trinitarian, a Calvinist, and allows his congregation to dress in a very worldly manner?

Is any of that a problem to you?
The only critical issue to me is Calvinism, and then again its how it fleshes out in his teaching. He doesn't claim to be an orthodox Calvinist. Personally, doesn't matter to me, Calvinism is just as flawed and corrupt a doctrine as the man, John Calvin, was.
But, thankfully, his sermon is not about Calvinism. It's about idols.
Interestingly, he is a tongue-talker.

Nah, I was just giving Aunt Bee a little trouble.
I have a hard time with the whole "Tulip" thing, and he's pretty harsh at times, which we've talked about privately. But I saw him recently on Hour of Power and he was really, really good. I get why he's been so successful.
And I didn't know about the tongues! Really? You're sure about that? I'm very surprised. I would assume that it's a private thing and not something that he teaches?

No. Although I don't understand the repeated references to the "trinitarian God of the Bible." LOL! Was it you who said that trinitarians believe in one God? Not ALL of them. Many of them believe in a unity between three distinct deities.
It's a great sermon on idolatry, though.

I think we need both- "milk" and "meat" sermons. The trick is knowing the difference between the two.
Milk promotes growth. Any sermon that promotes spiritual growth and leads to maturity is a "milk" sermon. We sometimes make the unfortunate mistake in thinking of "milk" sermons as a little less important than "meat" sermons. However, they are every bit as important, they just serve a different purpose and need in the Body of Christ.
Meat is a source of protein- strength and energy. "Meaty" sermons give us the strength and endurance to face lifes everday challenges. A minister, who has spiritual insight and his finger on the congregations pulse, will know who needs what and when they need it.
All to often, the minister preaches/teaches what he knows, rather than digging into the Word to find exactly what his congregation needs.
Just my thoughts, but... what do ya expect from a heating and air guy!

And what's all this stuff about "Father God?" A very unscriptural reference to God. Do you call his Son Jesus or Jesus Son? Sounds silly.
I think Driscoll definitely sees Jesus as one working in a triune nature through Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are sold on their creeds, unfortunately, yet he acknowledges that Jesus is the I AM, the Son of God, Divine and the Christ.

LOL.....one of my PET PEEVES is "Daddy God" - - oh, I just can't stand that.
That's exactly what Sherri and I were discussing the other day - - can I not stand it because of my background? Is there really anything wrong with it?
All I can think of when I hear it is "baby's daddy" and God isn't my daddy.
