Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Grammar!

I'm not sure about this one, but it gets on my nerves......

I would say:

Tomorrow, I'm going to the mall.

My birthday is today.

TONS of people around here say:

On
tomorrow, I'm going to the mall.

My birthday is on today.

I do this all the time. I know it's wrong, but I still do it. I'm working on it.

Re: Grammar!

This is kind of a[part from the issue, but related nonetheless. Calling a person a Charismatic just because they do not keep standards. It actually means one who believes in and has experienced Spirit infilling.

I hate to sound like an old fart here, but have things changed? (I almost said "HAS things changed, just to be funny)

To my shame, I wasted four years of high school (really, really bad school) and did very poorly. But I learned spelling, punctuation, and grammar. I have a friend who is at a major university on a full academic scholarship, and he graduated high school with a GPA of almost 5 (on a four scale).

And when I get emails from him I'm stunned. The spelling is horrible, the punctuation is worse, and the grammar...forget it. I see this a lot of this "these days" (ugh, I hate saying that).

So any theories? Has the emphasis changed?

There's been a dumbing-down, but I do not know the full reason. I do know it has been a TV generation where everyone wants to SEE pictures, and reading is too slow.
